Jessica Watson
Tonto Digital became an important part of the support team for Jessica
Watson as she attempted to be the youngest sailor to ever circumnavigate
the globe.
The digital strategy that we engage was designed to
provide timely and constant information to fans, family and sponsors
throughout her journey. This involved a custom branded website
featuring an interactive map, blog page, video page and ecommerce store.
As
part of our involvement Tonto Digital also managed Jessica Watson's
Social Media strategy whereby we designed custom profiles for Facebook,
Twitter, Youtube and Flickr and propagated throughout these sites the large amount of content that Jessica sent via satellite directly from the boat.
As part of a complete social media strategy we were then engaged to manage and encourage the interactions that her fans had with these social portals.
